I've never been able to meditate with success, so I was wondering if anyone has any resources for learning how to meditate.
Also, what are all the things that meditating can help you do?
Let your thoughts flow past you without stopping to think on them. Focus on your breathing until it's natural having no thought at all. Don't focus on your third eye until you're ready. If that doesn't help try some guided meditation on YouTube don't focus too much on what there saying though eventually their words should even be processed

what do you think "successful meditation" looks like

this is good info. Something that helped me with it is the "third person" perspective. If you keep getting caught by thoughts, narrate yourself as a story so you can "watch yourself" get past them.
>and then anon thought about a tree
>and then anon got distracted and imagined something else
>and then anon did this and that, but went back to meditating
I found an audio recording by Richard Alpert that taught me the idea, if you can withstand his voice for that long.
