The reason nobody knows the exact date of the crash is because the debris was found by a ranch hand/ranch manager. Once the information was brought to the ranch owner it was a novelty to him. The ranch was 47 miles outside of the town of Roswell itself so the owner had to wait for a supply run (gas and amenities and shit) to bring the the debris into town. By this time the debris had already been handled by his family and the ranch hand. it was approx 3 days after the debris was discovered before the local airforce installation received information about it.

what happened at Roswell was a pretty open and shut case. Ranch hand found debris, showed it to Rancher, Rancher brought it to town, Airforce college in the town went out to investigate, recovered UFO and extraterrestrial bodies, recovered craft was shipped to Wright-Patterson.

There is no mystery behind Roswell. Its extremely well documented. I've been to the crash site, the town itself, done my own interviews, and conducted my own independent research.

What really happened at Roswell? 4 ETs crashed and the local Airforce college sent the debris to Wright-Patterson for reverse engineering and unsuccessfully tried to cover it up.
