I've been experiencing sleep paralysis on and off since 2013-2014, but everything I experience seems to be different than what I'm told about others talk about their experiences.
I'm never really fully paralyzed. It takes a shit ton of strength and will power to do but I can move my arms and legs, though my legs sometimes freeze up. I can move my tongue and my toes, when I try to move my fingers the joints in them lock up.
Another thing that I experience every time is waves of pain. While my entire body is usually in pain, my left side (just below my rib cage) gets it the worst, as if someone would be repeatedly jabbing me. Every time I get this static feeling that you'd experience when your leg falls asleep, except it's usually on whatever part of my body is facing towards the ceiling. Sometimes, though, it does cover the entirety of my body. When those episodes happen, my body curls up slowly and falls back down slowly. Something weird about this type of sleep paralysis I get is that when I try to move my tongue or toes (they usually help me get out of normal ones), those also lock up and there's extreme pressure on all parts of my body.
Am I the only one that has these types? Also, general sleep paralysis thread.
