I know two really good podcasts who have covered Pizzagate extensively. Like...they made ME of all people have a "Oh shit..." moment.

Then I saw /x/ going on about how great these guys from LPOTL and looked them up. To me, it seems they fell into the trap a lot of podcasts and alternative media who cover conspiracies fall into.

They got big. They got sponsors that give them money under the table alongside their more open sources of income "We're 100% viewer funded" bullshit. And with hose sponsors came some subjects they can't cover.

Hell even with interviewing or quoting people, you end up in a weird "You can't talk about X or I'll throw a shitfit." type deal.

Their earlier stuff was pretty good. The newer stuff is...basically like what Reddit thinks is scary and controversial. They are now pandering to their largest support group, which is probably NOT the average /x/phile.

I did a lot of digging on the pizzagate scandal and I consider myself fairly open minded. I don't like throwing around the word hate because it's a strong word but the only two groups I'd say are worthy of it are pedophiles and rapists. With that said, I was fully expecting to come out of my research outraged but all I found was a big load of nonsense. It's a thinly veiled campaign made to smear the image of "liberals" or whatever by making the most heinous accusations possible. Alefantis's biggest crime is having shit taste in art and probably being involved in money laundering.

Art that depicts children in suggestive situations is nothing new. I think it's gross and pointless shock value but "artsy" types go nuts over art that gives you strong reaction so it's no wonder a picture of a little boy being crucified is popular with that crowd. I am not familiar with the "The Last Podcast on The Left" podcast but I imagine that they do not cover Pizzagate because leftists tend to believe that the government is a positive force that does not engage in scandals, therefore they would disregard Pizzagate as a baseless claim.
