The rockets often spin around until exploding and at night it is totally possible they would look like this. But that's not how this works though. Everything in science is provisional. Our knowledge isn't complete, so it's not a 'definite' answer to the existence of portals. Hell, Einstein-Rosen bridges are still a hypothetical concept. In the case of OP's pic, its just that a missile test best explains the phenomena we're seeing, because we've seen it happen before and it fits the evidence. Claiming that it's a portal is going to require a LOT more work, but it still deserves to be approached with the same rigour as any other claim.
tl;dr Don't just offhandedly dismiss claims unless the other party is unwilling to provide any evidence to back it up.

The reason space rockets explode is a range safety officer pushes a button that sets off charges on the rocket. The Norway Spiral was a Bulava submarine launched ICBM. It has a solid rocket motor not a liquid engine, it can't be turned off and just keeps burning. Plus it's military so it's tough compared to a satellite launcher.
