Situations like these where people believe themselves to be another is probably related to the idea of personas, so I try not to get too caught up with it when I have convinced myself I might be Jesus for a week. Instead I try to live like that person for a while and try to draw out all of the human experience and value from living in a particular way might deliver. I might be a little bit mentally ill, but I do deal with it in a constructive way. When I see "larpers" I try to consider the fact that maybe those people are trying to draw out the ideas that come from pretending to be another. Maybe playing along with the fantasy is helpful to one another. Maybe showing that level of personal deference to the whims of others is something we should be practicing.
