Stellar Stone released a patch that addressed some of the game's complaints. That might be believable IF they didn't make 2 additional versions which were just as broken as the first... Some other game studio not too long ago accidentally released the beta version on Steam and when people bought it and installed it they found it to be a buggy, unfinished mess. I think that was the original Dead Island or something, I'm not sure.

It's just worthless shovel-ware that some company finished in a week and released, hoping parents or kids would buy it and then not care enough to demand a refund.

The strangest part about the speed thing is that apparently, once you hit a max speed, you automatically win the game. Even if you're nowhere near the finish line. Can anyone explain to me how that might work? Is it like a sort of fail-safe that was left in? Maybe the developers implemented a sort of process that ends the race automatically instead of letting the game CTD? Someone on the AVGN review of the game said that even if you don't pass any checkpoint, once you hit the max speed every checkpoint goes green and you automatically win the game. That seems more elaborate to me than just a simple bug, it's like at the max speed the game treats your truck as being everywhere all at once, and thus you win because you're also at the finish line.

Has anyone looked at the code of the game to figure out just what is going on? Maybe there are comments left by the creators which would give clues on why shit happens the way it does in the game. The "yourewinner" forum seems huge, surely someone pulled apart the game and looked at the code...
