Traditionally vampires have fed on the life energy of living beings, often in the form blood but not always. Your exclusion of psychic vampires doesnt seem right, especially since no one in this thread seems to be able to pin down exactly what the characteristics of vampire are. I guess its understandable considering it differs so much between cultures.

I don't care about whether you discuss psychic vamps. My only issue is firstly, they are the key component for any LARPer due to their accessibility. Secondly, I think it's a dead end discussion wise since there is even less to work with. You'd have more success just creating a generalized energy/chakra thread and bringing up the concept of leeching energy from their.

Considering the only posts in this vampire general are about a pub crawl and none of the regulars can agree on what a vampire is i dont think any types should be excluded. What if someone wants to discuss chupacabra? Should they be excluded becuase it doesnt fit in to the narrow late 19th century european inspired idea of what a vampire should be?

Not true. They don't care about gnostisicm or more indepth stuff, but almost everyone enjoys talking about that one time they thought they saw a ghost or crazy conspiracies.

not particularly. I was a little less invested in those times, so a majority of the stories I have are just mishaps with various fakers, nutjobs, and lifestyle people I met.
I once met a couple where the guy thought he was a werewolf and his girlfriend thought she was a vampire. It was practically a Twilight fanfic come to life. It was hilarious watching him spit out a simple blue rare steak.
