What makes me suspicious of that image however is there is a story behind it.
When this whole thing was still hyped a lot there was a discord of /x/ users trying to track it down. There was a lot of hoaxes and paths leading nowhere (like encrypted drives just giving porn)

So at first this just seemed like another waste of time, but they were talking to someone through email that was dropping a few pieces here and there like that craigslist image and the purple eye part on 4chan.
It started to get a little weird when he also gave them coordinates of the supposed h4c lab mentioned in the original thread and there was a building there. He also posted pic related showing it to possibly be an underground base.

What makes the whole thing very weird to me was that the discord got shut down in a very strange way. Only a few minutes after getting coordinates some users started showing up with scrambled names, then every user in the channel lost all status, everyone was just a white name, so there was no longer any admin.
I don't even know if that's possible to do, and after that, despite there being no admin any more, rooms started being removed 1-by-1. They left the main room up for a few extra minutes and left some message like "Do not attempt to evade our monitoring" and then the final room went down.

I don't know a lot about discord since that's the only time I ever used it, but I asked some people who said that should not even be possible, and if it was discord staff who shut it down (which is also weird) they probably wouldn't have had multiple staff members join with scrambled names.

Right now the only "rational explanation" I can think of that doesn't involve the NSA or something is that it was a very elaborate hoax where someone knew of some bug or hack for discord to delete rooms without being admin.

The pics above are auto generated when the OCR they have setup picks up the picture. Even slightly altered photos get replaced with joke or broken images. All you'd have to do is plan everything out in advance with a group of people and then just sit and wait for 4chan to one day crash or have a short temporary outage of service, then you all execute the plan and go around hyping an imaginary thread that never existed and saying it was posted right before the crash and mysteriously vanished afterwards.
