First one is a "Crown of Thorns" starfish I think. A pest that's eating all the coral in the land.

Why? It is just stating that you had to have or needed training to reach this point.

Fuck. These things look so weird and spooky to us, and yet they're still terrestrial beings. We probably look just as scary to some animal that never saw humans before.
I hope more movies stop insisting on predominantly antropomorphic alien depictions. If beings from Earth look as spooky as the shit in this thread, shit outside of it probably looks like something we've never even imagined.
3 years old, standing on beach for the first time. I look out at the green-grey Atlantic. I feel a swell of intense grief and rage. I perceive the ocean as an evil, devouring bitch. I hate it, I fear it, it has taken something from me. Glad when we leave.
I've never understood my first reaction to the ocean. Still don't like it.
Associated weirdness: visited WW2 battleship. Compulsion comes over me. I run-walk to what I "know" is the radio room. Can't breathe. Step right into sleeping quarters. Look at top bunk on wall to my right as if I was seeking it out. Feel the same grief and rage I felt when I was 3.
