We all come here from around the world to find out about and discuss occult/supernatural/paranormal stuff but I would be surprised if we wouldn't wan to find examples that are local. Here's where we share local paranormal or make appeals to anyone about finding it.
I'm currently based in Atlanta and, as far as I know, the deepest things go is local wicca groups and other entry level stuff. I've heard that the Cult of Dionysus has a local chapter based here but the article I found about it from is more than a decade old. Considering the city's history, I would be surprised if there wasn't some kind of weird stuff going on here and I want to track it down.

I've never been to the desert but it's usually there or populated cities where you hear about spooky stuff happening. Any personal experiences?

Just the usual priests seeing things. Someone who's friends with my family is known for helping some houses with supernatural shit (mostly african curses or the like) and there's been people in my family that have been cursed in the past.
The one that stands out the most is one I was told where another friend of my family was praying in someone's house and when they closed their eyes they saw snakes everywhere falling from the ceiling.
The most recent thing I've found was an area on a trail behind a park. There's an abandoned slaughterhouse on a creek, and I learned from one of my friends who's a cop that a girl drowned in the 70's in that exact spot. Homeless people like to do "rituals" on top of the slaughterhouse (that's the only way I can describe it) and some of them get pretty weird. Once I found a massive pile of burnt stuffed animals on top of it. After I found three maggoty headless deer corpses I stopped going back
