Humans shelter themselves in boxes of dead organic matter then get spooked when they see a ghost. The spirit of the forest calls from its wooded realm. It want to build a human cabin with your corpse.

I walked in to work on a Saturday, to the sound of electric typewriters clacking. We don't use typewriters. I turned the lights on, and the noise continued. I then shouted "Hello!", and the noises stopped.

I continued with my work with no additional spoopy sounds.

I know the history of the building - mostly used as a laboratory for making strong rocket engines out of fiberglass. There was at least 1 fatality during rocket engine tests performed on the property within the past 50 years.

If it's ghosts, who really cares - nothing they can seem to do to affect you, aside from make you see and hear things that aren't there. There's far more important things to worry about than spoopy memes.
