I've been a struggling actor my entire adult life. I have never been a spiritual person, but I've had a vague sort of interest in the occult and in various mythologies, but it was usually out of curiosity, I've never really practiced. Around a month ago I said fuck it. I'd been reading up on angels and it piqued my interest. I set up a basic alter (I used fancy cup, knife, salt, a piece of paper with the angel's sigil, and candle) and prayed to the Archangel Gabriel, as I've been told he resonates with artists and such. I offered to serve him and to serve God in love, and promised to help teach others in exchange for career success, and honestly I meant it. I used the knife to cut my finger, and marked the paper with my blood to represent Gabriel in Heaven, and a gold coin I had to represent myself. I carry the coin on my person at all times, and I keep the marked paper in my room, to represent a bond between the angel and I.
The morning after I performed the ritual, I get an email from a casting director offering me an audition. Mind you, my agent did not submit me for it, and neither did I. It wasn't a huge part, and it won't change my career overnight, but it is the first television show I booked, and it was enough to make a believer out of me.
What are your experiences with Angel magic, /x/?
