Awhile back on /x/ I read a thread about a man who would pay homeless men for their stories or advice, and many of them said something like "beware of the Tall Men". From what I gathered in the thread they seem to be secretive beings with two knee joints instead of one, and they wear long coats to blend in. I'm curious if anyone knows more about this secret population and where I could find them. I've asked some local homeless myself (Boston MA) and only one had any idea what I was talking about, and said that he thinks they snatch away the homeless at night because they won't be missed. Thoughts?

No, they had faces and seemed like normal people, just really tall. I can't for the life of me find the original thread though and was half hoping someone else would see this and have the thread archived somewhere

I essentially gave him a $10 and asked what the weirdest thing he'd seen around the city was. He told me that if you pay attention long enough then they're not hard to pick out of a crowd, but they'll catch on if you're outright looking for them. He also said that a friend of his had been complaining about being followed by a very tall guy in a long coat and a few days later his friend disappeared.

To be fair if I hadn't actually heard it from a person firsthand I'd be content to say "ahh must've been the movie" and left it at that, but at the risk of seeming foolish and knowing at least one other person thinks there's something out there, I want to keep digging out of curiosity
