Research Schrödinger's cat. You would exist, and your worlds you've constructed in your mind, until the final decision of "reality" is reached by your consciousness.
If you left that old timeline, you would be "dead" to the old timeline. Your personal observations are the only thing keeping "you" in a "timeline" which you experience as "reality".
Your new "GF" would not really be your GF, because you did not take the time to make the relationship, and she would be able to tell. Also consider this: If there are an infinite amount of timelines, there would be an infinite number that learned to jump timelines, and thus an infinite number visiting every single point in time at the same time. Yet why don't we see any? There are two explanations, and both of them don't look good. They either are bound to non-interference (which let's be honest, isn't likely, since an infinite number of time travelers means an infinite number of people screwing up) or time travel isn't real. The best you'll get is that other timelines DO exist, but there's no way to travel between them. Even then, at most you'd just be able to observe, which effects us in basically no way, so it's not worth worrying about. This also applies to dimension hopping by the way.

i underwemt a trip on something i dont know the name of that allowed me to create my own timeline as if it allowed me to adjust my own long term memorys into short term memories. the initial high was not not euphoric, but a deep emotional pain. i controlled what my eyes saw by thinking of it, but i didint have control of what my curiosities were. my perverted mind imagined what it would be like to have sex with a female version of myself, and so i was in my highschool years around the time that i forst lost my virginity. except i was an outsider and i simply followed the female 17 yr old version of me. she didint look the way i thought she would, which suggested i was not in control of it completely. she had different color hair, and she was shorter than i was at that age. i knew it was supposed to be me because she was called my name by both male and female friends of mine. they talked to her as if it was me, still a male. i was not interacting with the initial enviorment, and while it may have sounded like "i thought it- and then it became" it was instantanious and without my immediate direction. my best explaination was that i picked the ride, but once i got on the roller coatser it was out of my hands. i made the decision to sit down in what was a memory of my 7th period physics class, but it felt like the idea was forced upon me, like an instinct or an addiction. i sat in a chair in the back that was originally empty anyways. like i said i felt like i had the freedom to look around but my psychee had me wanting to only look at her, at the back of her head. the first change that led me to believe it wasent just a copy and paste of a female into my memory was mr. stahl saying "her" and "she" when referring to my name. without her reacting to my presence. i followed her home from the classroom, to my locker, to the bus, to my house. she turned and said we should hurry up and do it before her parents get home.

I contently got up and kissed her goodbye at my door.

I was wondering about memories and events. Do they change when I shift timelines? I've had people tell me stories that don't match up with what I remember. I also feel my body shifting to look better with only some effort on my part. I'm taking a slow and steady route of small jumps each day instead of trying something drastic. That way I know I will have EXACTLY what I want.
