What are your thoughts on Hinduism & Gurus?

The sages who are liberated while living (jivanmukti), are all-knowing Brahman, as stated in the Upanishads.
Not only do they know the thoughts and karmas of all men, they can also turn themselves completely invisible to those they do not wish to garner the attention of.
And why would they want the attention of others? They live in complete bliss (ananda). The only reason they would have to reveal themselves is to make themselves known to receptive disciples (synchronicity).
And even then, when they reveal themselves, they carry themselves modestly and with perfect dispassion (vairagya) towards the world, existing as a perfect living example of Turya (the state beyond the 3 worlds of waking, dream, and deep sleep). To them the waking world is an illusion with absolutely nothing to offer them, except the opportunity to uplift their disciples.
Anything less is a false guru still subject to karma and samsara (the perpetual cycle of ignorance, death, suffering and rebirth).
