He was super depressed about it but he'd been dropped by his family and friends for autistic tendencies so he clung to her, but she wanted a provider which he was too much of a shell to be. A similar thing happened to my buddy.

He called the suicide prevention hotline and later killed himself. I guess whatever they told him on the hotline convinced him that suicide is the best option.
