No idea. It was a total shitshow that took over /pol/ for almost 3 days. People were getting banned just for mentioning it, and nobody had the real picture. If they did post it, they were instabanned. To this day I am curious as to whether this was a meme or not, but part of me wants to believe.

Late night b browsing might have been x, this was back in the early days 08. Right when for was getting popular. I was In high school was like 4am and someone was shit posting and left a tor link for a creepy pasta repository. Shit was money, some great stories but the more and more I read the weirder and unnerving the shit got. You know t hag devil pic? The gif of the devil just starring at You? That came from there years before it actually made it's rounds.

Eventually found the video, shit was so weird and just uneasy like I was being watched or tested. Went back to the original thread and the thing got Merced. Gone, back before archiving was a thing. No follow up thread to it. Only about a year later I found out what it was, night a saw it could not sleep but a few hours, felt like something was scratching the back of my brain. A constant primal instinct kinda thing can't explain.

I thought the whole point of flooding /x/ and the whole fucking internet with fake crap was to instantly discredit any real stuff. How would you know that any pic is fake or real? Why would the government care if you had a real picture? I would bet that we have already seen "real" aliens in dozens of movies, so that if anyone ever takes a pic people will just say it's a costume.
