For those who don't know, apparently Rasputin was poisoned with cyanide (which didn't seem to affect him) and then was shot several times (having almost gotten away after the first shot) and then put in a sack and thrown into the river.

Apparently there was water i his lungs when they found the body, indicating he drowned
