i use sidereal with whole sign houses

tropical gets some things right, but it's like a movie version whereas sidereal is like the novel

same can be said about other house systems instead of whole sign in my experience

i've had drug and alcohol issues for more than half my life, not just when i'm depressed, but if i'm happy or it's tuesday or whatever

i just drink and smoke weed now, not necessarily every day, i haven't touched pcp in about 8 years and i'm distancing myself from heroin successfully enough, but its only been since february

i wasn't on it long, about 6 months, but i've been on/off opiates since i was 15 just never that bad

her and i have known each other since we were 12, got close freshman year of hs

we both came from abusive homes so we clung to each other for stability and escape, got close

we've used together, we've quit together, she's gotten me to quit before and vice versa depends on the point in our lives its been and which one of us was more fucked up

things are on/off rocky between us, we bring out the best and worst in each other, but the connection runs deep and so does the history

we've been through a lot together and gotten each other through a lot

dark though yeah, that can be true, she's a scorpio sun, capricorn rising, pisces moon

but we get along well most of the time, have fun together, and there aren't many other people i can lay around in bed with talking politics for hours on end which is a nice bonus

i'm not great at taking charge of myself for more than a couple days at a time, then i lose interest and just get high or drunk or drown myself in sex or something instead or something else catches my interest and the other thing i started never gets finished

no you're not, but honestly enjoy being single while you are

getting laid is easy if there's nights you want someone around, but relationships are a lot of work, effort, and time and having deep feelings for someone always just alternates between pleasant and painful with equal frequency

i haven't been single since hs and i'm 31 this month, same relationship, and while i've dated outside of the relationship in that time frame all that's done is show me that all options get difficult once things are serious

i wouldn't leave, but if this doesn't work out never again

not even bitter things are going well and i love her deeply so i'm not saying that from a negative place it's just... enjoy the fun parts like the chase and beginnings, if a relationship stems from that great, but past that point it's work and dealing with the other person and all their flaws come out etc

which btw is important, never tie yourself to someone whose flaws are too much to deal with, judging potential partners based on comparing their flaws is sometimes more important than their virtues

For the fuckload of anons who are asking for others to interpret their natal charts:

Its pretty easy to draw your own interpretations by simply googling your planets, signs, and houses. There's a lot of information for each type of planet/sign in any house.
It takes a bit more work on your part than it would for someone else to spoon-feed it to you, sure, but your own interpretation of your own natal chart is more beneficial.

the more i've looked, the more people i've seen use it and discuss its accuracy over tropical

it just isn't the default in the west so most people get used to tropical

sidereal is based on the actual stars though, tropical actually isn't

i wouldn't say that they told completely different stories,a lot of your aspects remain the same and the differences in signs still balance each other in a manner where certain parts of your personality express themselves similar

what i mean is an aries moon tends to overshadow other parts of the chart, so if you're loud and fun loving and like excitement then you'll come off that way with an aries moon, a virgo ascendant over a libra one might make you seem more critical and grounded maybe a little neurotic (a libra rising can also make people neurotic in a different manner, but with a similar result)

a scorpio sun would add the layer of sensuality the taurus moon would have brought, but it's also going to be softened by the virgo ascendant and your darker moods are likely to be more inward

your mercury is in sagitarrius in sidereal which means your thought patterns are sagittarean so that element is still there same as your chart where it's your sun

the seriousness of the capricorn mercury could easily be found in the scorpio sun and so on

so yes there's differences, but a good deal of similarities in the way those differences play out at more than first glance

in my case my tropical doesn't fit me as well, or my life and the way it's been

particularly the moon and mars when it comes to my personality (mars especially doesn't work at all in my tropical chart)

in addition to that when i read my tropical chart as a whole i find details that conflict with each other a good deal, in sidereal the picture it paints flows easier without contradiction and it's all more cohesive

i've never had an attachment to my chart either way, but a lot of people do so the switch doesn't sit right

most people relate to the chart they're used to, and your tropical is still going to have some of the same things and operate in a similar manner to your sidereal so you should relate to it
