why are there no good alien movies/games anymore?

Just recently watched Alien Obduction (2014) 7.5/10 would probe again. other than prey as a new release; why dont people care about aliens anymore?

I recall there was one or maybe two parallel alien invasion/abduction games being independently produced. I think one of them was called "The Hum." Demo vid showed you walking around an empty city in first person and a spotlight from a spaceship would abruptly switch on in front of you. Pretty spoopy.

As far as movies, The Fourth Kind was pretty good, but I guess it's been a while.

Dreamcatcher is a great movie.. I would go watch it on Netflix, it's a comfy innawoods alien movie with Morgan freeman in it.

I personally loved it but the trailers are very misleading. It's a mockumentary with the spooky bits taking up the final half hour.
If you know that then you should like it a lot. It's a pretty great film.
