I was just browsing random threads from the catalog earlier, and I stumbled on this quote:

I read the elizabeth.pdf thing that was posted yesterday, I believe. Pretty interesting read, gave me a lot of mixed feelings though.
Vampire or not that Elizabeth seemed to actually be hiding something, to feel lonely, guilty and get paranoic to some degree, and talking with K made her feel some kind of relief.
Is a shame he pressured her so much, asking for photos, and blood and meeting her. That pressure broke the very delicate trust she had on him.
If he was less aggresive he could have gotten more info through her calls. She seemed to get more and more talkative on them after all.
Something that bugged me, though, is that Elizabeth was surprised when they told her humans had 32 theet, but she previously talked about molars and so, showing some knowledge on the subject, plus she clearly had knowledge on human anatomy, and had read books about it, as she previously stated when talking about the amount of blood people have.
Did K never notice that or just ommited it when writing?

There's also the tendency to see vampires and werewolves as stock characters in certain genres of popular fiction. As silly as hipsters have made Cthulhu. The ease of roleplaying is probably also a factor. I mean, White Wolf and all. Vampire roleplaying is older than 4chan is. VIDF (Vampire Internet Defense Force) is mostly a joke... but you know the saying: Behind every joke, there might be an underlying truth? Yeah.

We just noticed odd behavior throughout the threads that seemed sometimes a little too intense for just people who don't care. For example:

1) Over the months there were one or two people (they wrote the same) personally attacking me regularly in every thread, telling me to take my meds, vampire aren't or they are real but I will never talk to them. It just seemed weirdly personal and consistent, like trying to talk me out of it really badly.

2) There's random bumps and posts that look like they are against the thread but quite obviously help it. For example the thread sinks down to the bottom of the catalog, inactive... then out of nowhere comes a post:

If vampires are anything like the more traditional descriptions I've read, they don't shrivel up in daylight, but just return into regular, slightly weak, humans (or stuck in the last form they were in if shapeshifting is true). I never once bought into the idea of vampires resembling anything as goths or stereotypical vampire looks. Any vampire with an ounce of sense - and if they have the longetivity, they're bound to have figured a couple of these things out - would try their hardest to look the opposite of a vampire. Chances are they dye their hair into any color but black and get spray tans, and workout regularly to keep away from looking like a vampire. If I was a criminal, I would do my hardest to blend in, and someone even half-jokingly saying I look like I've done time would worry me. If they don't shrivel up in sunlight, they'd be constantly making daytime appearances in big cities, only feeding if they had to at night, discreetly, or from stores of blood stockpiles. Why risk becoming a suspect of a greusome murder in a small town?

This is in part if vampires do NOT die in sunlight.

Yes, almost everyone here agrees on that too. Most do not think vampires actually fall apart in sunlight. I read different stories now... some say vampires aren't affected AT ALL by sunlight, not even annoyed.

Others say they are blinded. Some say they are just uncomfortable and tired when exposed to sunlight. I think that seems likely.

I have no evidence to believe that vampires exist or existed, but I'm incredibly interested in immortality and I would love to become immortal myself. If vampires do exist and others can become vampires somehow, I would want to know all of the details and would strongly consider becoming one.
