I'm in upstate NY, so we border Canada, which would make it easy for another country to scout the area. That's why I suspect if it's not aliens it could possibly be another country doing recon. I'll upload pics in a bit.

On the 4th I was at the waterfront in my maine city. Preparing to watch fireworks with family and as I look to the south west a red light just as those but singular sat in the sky. I watched it for a minute before pointing it out to my gf who promptly laughed it off saying "what you think it's a UFO?pshh"
Continued to be amazed then noticed it got brighter red as it went further away slowly then to bright green a short distance in time later. Then gone before it should have left line of sight.
Not sure if just the day had me sketched out to look to the sky's that evening but after seeing your thread it makes me wonder all the more.

I've also recently saw something descend from the sky and was flying around eye level. The size of a man but it was a red and purple glowing dragonfly. Gf saw it too but was driving so didn't make out that it was a dragonfly

It looked like a low flying plane with a center ob light, and a light on the right wing. I'll give you this though, should be able to see one on each wing as it heads toward/over the camera, but one of the could have faulted out mid flight.

I can tell you right away that you've photographed either a bright star or most likely Venus. Most people don't realise how bright the planet really is.

Here's a picture of Venus that I took last night to show its brightness.

I can also tell you that Venus is out of focus in your image hence the series of bright and dark rings. That's an interference pattern and I'll post an image in another post to show this phenomena.

Through my life I have seen 2 times something like that, enormous blobs moving at high speeds between the clouds, I don't recall any reports of such things, they look like giant plastic bags the size of skyscrapers and the 2 I saw, one was white the other was more gray-ish, I don't know what the hell they were but, I never told anybody.
