You don't need to be a Christian to be able to "give it up to God". We are all His children, if something is truly too much for you He will take your burdens away. If you don't want to use God Himself, try Gaia or any of your own patron gods for help.

You go through a psychotic breakdown for which the recovery is realizing that nothing matters. You continue laughing as loud as you can, because you also realize all the time and potential wasted spent worrying about things beforehand.

Also, practice emotionally detaching yourself from everything. Re-attach, then detach. Plug, then unplug. That way, you can avoid becoming a psychotic killer during moments of slight duress, and you can actually feel rejuvenated after a short, emotionally detached rest.

That's what happened to me, anyway.
