Gimme some unsettling PSA's
There's one I'm trying to find that really fucked with me as a really little kid. I don't know what it was supposed to be for, but it was on daytime television and I think it was intended for an adult topic, possibly abortion.
>wedding procession
>alter is dark, creepy dry ice mist everywhere
>bride coming down isle
>stern narrator warns about something
>bride is now leaving a trail of blood along the aisle
I guess it could have been for feminine hygiene products, but fuck, if it was it was extremely dark.
We didn't have scare tactic PSA's but we had these awesome vignettes...

Maybe it was a music video, and your kid brain interpreted it that way

I dunno, maybe, but I remember it being on daytime network TV, like in between my babysitter's soaps, which is a weird place for a music video to air.
When I was a kid in the mid-90's, and it was too early in the afternoon for KidsWB, sometimes I'd check out a cheap local station for religious programming that was all from like the 70's and early 80's. Mostly faith-based movies and the occasional puppet shows for kids. Even a lot of the commercials were fucking ancient (I swear to god they unironically aired the Crying Indian ad.)
Whoever was running this station must have been really out of touch with what was appropriate because I distinctly remember seeing a safe driving ad that either showed a real or accurately-depicted lethal head-on collision during a break from a kids' show about a crocodile puppet.
