Generally, yes, unless it's memetic magic which requires being spread. There is no bigger curse than everyone thinking you're cursed.

do you think that, if you treat post numbers as a random number generator, you can influence the outcome using known mechanisms in Psi phenomena?

>>
>>19376621
PK tests are generally built in such a way where subjects are told to influence left and right sensory hemisphere data, usually based off of two randomly generated numbers (what number is larger determines what side of screen/headphone the input occurs)

https://www.fourmilab.ch/rpkp/hispeed.html

this makes it very easy to statistically test for randomness and compare to a control

well guessing post numbers would not even be close to empirical because the "degree" of randomness is impossible to control. My theory is that if you focus really hard on getting dubs on a low traffic board you could get dubs more often than the "random" statistics would suggest, even without a script. Consider what /b/ or /s4s/ looks like when a major "get" is coming up, there is an immense amount of Psi going on in that space because so many people are trying to get the numbers, thus there is an insane amount of entropy.

There are tools that are available on the internet to test and even "train" your psi using high quality pseudorandom number generators

La'ta'ifa as Sirius is... heady

Beyond the Tabulation given above, know ye that there are three root-stars which may be ascribed unto the Mysteries of the Triple Axis. These are Antares - Cor Scorpi- the Heart of the
Scorpion, Vega - Vultur Cadens- the Falling Vulture, and Deneb - Cauda Capricorni - the Tail
of the Goat. Verily, these stars are as the three envenomed points of the Trident emanating from

AL-JA-WZA-IA

I go forth upon the path of Al-Jawza, the 7th Star of thy Stellar Image, O, Az'qarina, and pass within the celestial palace of the Dragon's Tridentine Spine and Triadic Heart. By the Sings of the Trident and Apophis Triumphant we raise ourself from Zenith to Nadir, resplendent within the Heart of All, for I am Thy Column Incarnate.

O Star of Initiation, by Thy Arcana we decree the ley and line of the Crook'd Path and listen patiently for the unfolding of Thy Rainbow'd vibrations of Thy Triadic Heart, through the spaces twixt the interstices of our own heartbeat. Behold, O Felsh, the Triple Mystery bound in the Axis of the Seeker's Spine, and the Temple of Mystery at the Axis of the Sphere of Nu's Temple. There is a Threefold Snake bound in the spine and braided about the Heart, wherein whose flaming doth melt the drops of Conscious Azoth, for as the Trident drops into the Heart of the Elements, and the Swan doth blossom in the Embrace of Wisdom within the Consort, Aleph rectifies the Holy Vehm dancing on the Tongue of the Initiate. Thou art the Ancient One of Spirit, which dwells in the Serpent Braided Heart; the Serpent's Heart braided about by the Vessel of our Arte, and the Vessel of our Arte braided about by the Seeker's Hands, whom doth seethe twixt the twain extremities of the Paths.

From Vagitus to Death Rattle, Firstborn to Lastdead, Kindling and Snuffing, Eternity without Beginning to Eternity without End, the Ecstatic Dance of Asi doth wind. By the Thrice Coiling Serpent, the Threefold Strands of Fate-string are Woven. As the Cord is Woven, so the Threefold Tokens of our Arte are given. As we offer Salt, Sulfur, and Mercury, so the Triple Face of the Moon doth Shine. As the waxing, stasis, and waning of the moon, so the Sealing, Seething, and Revealing of the Thrice Coil'd Serpent within the Seeker's Vessel.

I know this thread is not for dreams, but since the occult has a high symbolism component maybe you can tell me if this makes sense or what.

In this dream I was in a garden with an asian woman. We were sitting in lotus position in a small bandstand. She was teaching me how to meditate and then she taught me about the goddess. In that moment she told me something about 5 stars, at that moment I visualized 5 spheres of light (they were in formation like the vertex of a pentagon) rotating around another sphere of light in the middle. Then she started to teach me the names of each spheres, I remember a name, Naamah, and I think another was Astarte (I should have record the dream). I waked up with the feel that something was revealed to me.

Thoughts?

I'm trying to search and see if I'm wrong and there's something I'm not remembering or don't know.
I only learned European female Water and Air spirits. No Earth/Wild associated.
Hell, even Morrigan is essentially Air (Crow).

I feel that, especially as she's an archer, with the arrows flying through air. With the hunting thing she's gonna be inextricably associated with the wild woman archetype too, in my mind. My understanding of huntresses is that they use their connection to wildness to do a better job hunting.

I also love her generally because I used to date a fuckboi who shares a name with a god she murders (possssibly accidentally murders). In some myth though, Artemis kills him because he grabbed her robe. She's like "fuck off my robe boyo idgaf how good a hunter you are you boutta die"

Learnt recently that the four pillars are knowledge, will, courage and silence.

What is important about silence? Does speaking about magical operations weaken them somehow?
Or is it just that being known as a magician puts you in a weak position?

That is different then.
So, you dreamed you were alone and surrounded by your most primal instincts and urges.

This is a dream about unresolved internal conflict.

Eh, I'll give more details.
Those two people were involved in the occult, I had that dream and there was also a mini poltergeist in my house when it happened that caused my house to have temperature drops in the rooms to very cold in plain summer and there were pressences, there were entities, which went away with salt, but the pressences would not go away, there was some scent, strawberry.
>>
>>19379751
Still means the same thing essentially.
It's a dream about internal conflict.
But, your waking mind associates these people with conflict and so they were inserted into the dream.
If I were you, I would think about what internal conflicts you need to sort through.
Because your mind is trying to tell you that you need to sort it out and stop procrastinating.
You can worry about your physical enemies later.
Your internal "enemies" are more important and need combat first.

Hello newfriend.

You are aware that most models of psychokinetic phenomena are tied up with emotional turmoil, particularly as it relates to hormonal shifts, be them sexual or stress related. I'm usually reluctant to evoke Jung, but he was a dude that believed in the literal existence of supernatural spirits as physical agencies and he still thought psychokinetic poltergeistish phenomena were rooted in psychic traumas.

I mean if you just want the answer you already think it is/want to hear, there are a dozen other threads to cater to that need on /x/.

He goes all autistic saying there's no source for what I have experienced in books when I try to rationalize it into systems to give a feel for what it was similar to. Really gets on my nerves.

I'm not a great communicator, usually very scarce with words, so he gets autistic at this too.
>>
>>19383209
>whatever you said was retarded
Also, reality is sometimes considered retarded because we have something to hide. If I say I have discovered that most of mankind is in the bed with a dark power because they are their minions and we are part of this bedtime pact, we will deny it in rage because we don't wanna get caught and we don't want it known, not because it is a lie, as I would have had communications with demons, would have done my sorcery proper, would have done my research and so on. But we have to deny the facts because we are getting caught.
The fact that I was accused of being a christian lunatic while I was saying that the bible is a sad lie tells the whole tale really, the joke practically writes itself.

But of course, I could be wrong, there is the remote possiblity of this dark power I've found lurking to be actually managing people behinds their backs and against their wills and without them noticing, altough I'm gonna laugh out loud at this one seeing what I have gotten out of my research.

"The man whose hands are controlled, whose feet are controlled, whose words are controlled, who is self-controlled in all things, who finds the inner joy, whose mind is self-possessed, who is one and has found perfect peace - this man iI call a monk."
>>
>>19383304
My favourite is when the autists consider you a crazy christian upon mentioning your dark power "theory". It is no coincidence, because the faggots (and many demons) consider christianity to be true.
As I've said many times before, demons are very ignorant about themselves, they don't know where they come from, so since they see themselves in a situation similar to christianity, they believe christianity to be true. It isn't though, it's a false religion, like all religions on earth, really.
Truth of the matter is that dragon symbollism is far from being demonic imagery, it's actually divine, so imagine how wrong christianity can be since they are enemies of dragons. The same can be said about sneks. The same can be said about magic, it's not a forbidden art, and sometimes God may reward you or defend you by granting temporary magical abilities or psychic powers.
Not the christian god by any chance, that one hates sorcery, not base part of his mysteries arround it.

I finally read this image.
You have to ask them everyday.
How's it going, where's the stuff?
How's it going, where's the stuff?
They are horrible at project management.
And QA until you can't QA anymore.
Asia Inspections is a great company for third party QA and they have feet on the ground in more countries than I think of right now because I haven't had coffee.
Always place your order early, and never tell them the true sailing date.
They will always be 1-2 weeks late due to some issue.
Order early, and always tell them an earlier sailing date.
Never tell a factory a "shipping date" - to them, that is the date the goods leave their door, not the date the goods leave on the boat, or train, or plain.
Always say "vessel sailing" never "ship date". or "delivery date".
And I mean ride their ass everyday with status checks.
Demand photos of their factory and office beforehand.
The state of cleanliness and organization will tell you a lot about how they run their business.
Employ native Mandarin speakers and pay them WELL. They can give extra coverage and negotiation power.
I enjoy designing product and CAD work with the Chinese.
But, as soon as money enter the picture everyone on both sides loses their damn minds.

>He goes all autistic saying there's no source for what I have experienced in books
This. Experience and Gnosis are by far the most important things on any spiritual path.

If I have an experience with a Goetic spirit that contradicts mainstream gospel, all I would get in this thread is "please cite the source that justifies your own personal experience", or "but Stratton-Kent told me that's not true. Show me a source superior to him"
>>
>>19377711

Pretty simple, someone translated it before me, and I stopped replying when I verified the translation (which in my head would have been a rather more ancient construction, hence why I didn't immediately reply to the callout).

Cute that you think you got me tho, particularly if you're the one defiling Abramelin in the first place.

>>19384284
>>19383290
Since we're not allowed to appeal to historicity, or the source texts for what you guys claim to practice, what's your method of testing spirits or checking experiences? I mean, I could say "the spirits told me that all Aztec godforms are just different names for Sumerian Annunaki" but it doesn't automatically become true just because I was told this, or just because I repeat it. So, again, if books, history, and tradition are all irrelevant, what's your method of quality assurance?
>>
>>19384361
>books, history, and tradition are all irrelevant
Nice of you to change what I said. They are relevant, but are ALWAYS trumped by personal experience.
For example, I can't verify Lon DuQuette's experiences and I'm definitely extremely skeptical of his interpretations, but I can be 100% certain of what I myself have seen and heard.

>"the spirits told me that all Aztec godforms are just different names for Sumerian Annunaki" but it doesn't automatically become true just because I was told this
Again, you're making assumptions that are baseless. I'm well aware that spirits aren't always trustworthy and never did I say we should just believe them.
>>
>>19384409
>They are relevant, but are ALWAYS trumped by personal experience.
K, so what's your method of quality assurance.

>>19384284
>Experience and Gnosis are by far the most important things on any spiritual path.

Thereby implying that your personal experience with them trumps any historical, traditional, or source interpretation thereof.

So, for the third time now, what's your method of QA?
>>
>>19384415
>your personal experience with them trumps any historical, traditional, or source interpretation thereof.
Yes, you got it this time.

Just because a spirit tells me "you're a faggot", doesn't mean I instantly believe it. If, however, I've had a completely life changing experience and then I receive a VERY clear message, I'll take it seriously.

You seem to suck off authority like no one else, just for the sake of it. The reason we have different traditions that disagree with each other is because most people are not such cocksuckers. If we, human beings with a healthy level of distrust, put our interpretations of our own experiences above the unverifiable and biased claims of other people, different traditions form. Deal with it.
>>
>>19384454

>>
>>19384579
Well, since we are dealing with deity exploration, normally one asks for boons and certain things to deities, if they agree to give you a boon and are unable to procure it and then claim that asking for this boon was a shitty move from your part, you are most certainly not dealing with a honest being, since that being agreed to give you the boon initially and assured it to you.

Really, dishonesty can be noticed sooner or later.
>>
>>19384595
>Well, since we are dealing with deity exploration, normally one asks for boons and certain things to deities
What deities are you approaching and in which traditions using which methods?

Also, someone's been griping about my perspectives on Lemegeton entities so let's throw that one in too, in which case the query I just made still applies.

Either way you're still being SUPER vague when I can think of about a half dozen methods of spirit testing across traditions and probably a dozen more if I sit and go through materials.
>>
>>19384579
Sometimes also, if the entity is honest with you, you may discover that this entity is some entity that actually exist but the religion you were exploring was wrong about its identity and function, let's say I did make contact with Abraxas, and I really got interested in Abraxas, and started petitioning to know more so he would signal me to some place where I could learn more, then, instead of being pointed to a gnostic source, by means of how Abraxas signaled to me, I'm given his sign when flipping through a catalog of books that deals with the qliphoth.

Obviously he's forwarding me to a different place of what I was expecting so I may lose my interest in Abraxas.
>>
>>19384609
see
>>19384604

Also please don't tell me you're one of those guys who thinks the Klipot are spheres you can travel to and spheres you can summon. ESPECIALLY when you were dogging on me for relying on *historical and source texts* while the vast majority of Klipot speculation has fuckall to do with anything other than edgelordy theistic satanism.

Well, the hindu traditions proved to be hostile, I won't mention methods because it was very standard spiritual practice.
The same went for the judeochristian tradition, so I assumed gnosticism, tired of the bullshit.

Then I located Abraxas aaand, yeah, he forwarded me to the qliphothic literature.

Of course I have no way of telling it was Abraxas really, which is other of my main problems, I can address Abraxas, but something else may come. Still, unlike the abrahamic deity and the hindu deity, Abraxas seemed actually nice, did nice things to me, but I ultimately decided this wasn't quite what I was searching for, because the original deity that called on me was not Abraxas.

Still, it might be close home, since I'm beginning to accept the fact that I may have been called by the great and ancient Dragon.
>>
>>19384604
>half dozen methods of spirit testing

I have a question about this, actually. When people test a spirit, like what exactly is this about? I know asking the entity questions and checking their answers against your understanding of correspondences can be one way - but what then happens when someone appears unexpectedly, say in an Enochian Aethyr for example, and claims to be someone you don't know much about, like, someone you don't know enough about to test them meaningfully on the fly?

Proceed with caution and if you encounter them again make sure you know which banishing hexagram to use (see Agrippa's correspondences, for Enochian in particular, followed by GD if that's not cutting it ((which it may not)).

One mantra isn't puja friend-o.

In any case I really can't take this discussion seriously anymore. You're not only evasive but incredibly disingenuous about things you're pretending to have knowledge of and make sweeping statements about. Your praxis sounds /fringe/ tier from how little you're able to functionally answer from basic inquiry as to your methods/mechanisms and there are any number of threads up more welcoming to ungrounded speculation based on feels from poorly standardized practices.

...I'm honestly considering dropping the back half of class that I'm taking now [it's split into two parts] and just switching to this guy. I love my current teacher he's a great guy and I've learned a lot, but he's like really into the concept of karma and has a christian background and that is reflected in his understanding. He is like a little stronger on the "Fate" and surrender stuff over the way that we can exert force on those fated transits.

One thing I'll say for my current teacher though is that he does have strong sense of what he calls the tantric interactions between us and our transits, he's just sort of on a path of surrender. Pisces, man.

But this other dude..

So basically this is a thread where spiritual people collide with wizards, and it is quite remarkable how wizards, being people whose only interest in life is to contact demons and talk to them feel it necessary to tell spiritual people how to get to heaven.

From the vessels of honey and purity that are the lips of demons they drink and then they vomit this nectar they learn on the spiritual people and they see no wrong with their sugary words.

middle western? does that mean medieval? Because the astrology that was really getting cool during that time was Arabian, which I still haven't gotten into. I'm starting with Hellenistic stuff, which sort of ...took a break as a tradition, between the fall of the Roman Empire and the crusades. Just had a nice lie down for a few hundred years while Arabs ran the game as far as stellar knowledge goes.

That reminds me that in general, most occultniks have a terrible grasp of astrology. It's down there with herbology, hard sciences and the little practical skills like sleight of hand and active listening. But then it's hard to find an astrologer who knows their way around Agrippa.
>>
>>19385121
It's weird huh? I think herbs and astro are both things that have been given a very bad reputation by their mainstream proponents, which makes the more "serious" occultists sort of instinctively roll their eyes when it comes up, even if they know it's of value on an intellectual level, there can still be that visceral "uhghhhh those people" reaction.

I think the most significant bearings of astrology upon Ceremonial Magick are those that align with modern conceptions of astronomy. The hard science knowledge can be spotty. I'm not well-rounded at all and true specialists I know tend to suffer from being functionally retarded the further something is from their specialization. It's like when any intelligent person starts talking about politics.

The slight of hand is just one example that comes to mind of a nonmagical solution to a problem that your average (median well below the mean) occultist tends to lack.

Ape, I was looking thru some old posts of yours, and I noticed you gave an exegesis or Crowley's process of deriving NOX from INRI via a reversal of IAO...and I'm curious as to why the attributions of the signs to the Tree do not align with those stated on Thelemapedia? The pic of Crowley giving Vir certainly seems to indicate 8=3 going by the engraving on his book and date of the photo, so I'm a bit mixed up. Also, why does it appear that Reguli, Star Ruby, and Star Sapphire all seem to give the NOX signs in a different order? Any help on this matter will be much appreciated.

Because your mind/tongue/body is disobeying your will.
A goad is a cattle prod. Like Lamed. You're thinking of "gelding," likely.
Ankh is the symbol of going; the Rosy Cross.
The references to correspondences are very likely references to preparing the speech/action/thought in preparing for Events of Attainment. Often Camels and horses, mules, etc. were used before the modern engine for travel and transport. Camels are known to bite. Hard.
&c.

Also, pay attention to all the correspondences being referenced, and when in doubt, check 777 or Complete Magician's Tables.

When I was doing Pranayama the other day, apparently my back was ever-so-slightly crooked, but I did not notice it until a sudden surge burst forth from approximately the base of my spine. It wasn't a "spititual" feeling so to speak, but rather a very definite, very physical sensation as though a whip had unfurled from the base of my spine to the top of my skull, and through. Now, I'm vaguely familiar with the kundalini phenomenon, but this doesn't appear to align with such an awakening, and I doubt I have been disciplined in my yoga consistently enough to achieve such a thing. Does anyone know what would have caused this to happen? I have never experienced it before, during yoga or otherwise. Thank you.

In traditional Hellenistic astrology anyway, we can see that many of the stereotypical attributions to the 12 signs of the zodiac are actually derived from their positional relationships to the equinoxes and solstices. Just for example, Aries' zero degree begins on the spring equinox, and from this we get the Aries symbolism, being a strong, initiating sign, bursts of energy that persist, an energy that is beginning its journey to the culmination of the solar year. think about like a sunrise. Leo as another example is like inherently tinged with a surrender of that same power, because it's the first sign that has to fully has to deal with the decline of the sun (daylight has begun to decrease), approaching the fall equinox, but is still blazing with a full power.

>>19385212
I have noticed that a lot of the hard science occulistist fall hard into materialist reductionism and get blinders on when something doesn't fit their scientifically based framework. I'm afraid I'm not totally sure what you mean about slight of hand though

any notion of what was going on in indian astrology at that time? I seem to remember reading that once Alexander brought hellenic astrology to india they pretty quickly adopted it and surpassed the greeks. Also curious if you or anyone has a notion of how much of the arabic tradition was a continuation of the classical tradition and how much was from the indian tradition, if that's even a meaningful question. Also, how much of an astronomy astrology connection or disconnection there was in different times/places. Just write me a fucking book. ok, you're right, I'll just read some stuff, have a nice day.

Mate, they don't exist. The only women that are into magic exclude the k in it and only 'practice' witchcraft - they once 'cursed' a teacher because they got a C.

Also, they watched The Craft twice - so they're essentially Witch Goddesses now.

If you're lucky they actually follow Wicca - which might not sound good but it's at least a path of some kind - all the others only use wikihow and spellsofmagic.com for their 'spells'.

Yeah that totally happened. Hellenistic astrology was transported to India where it met the pre-existing local lunar astrological system and became what is commonly known as Vedic astrology. Many of the Vedic constructs are just transliteration of Greek words.

The arabs basically saved astrology from darkness in the Middle Ages, they collected and translated all much of the Greek, Babylonian, Persian and Indian texts and proceeded to innovate their asses off. They invented one of the coolest forms of astrology, called Horary astrology. When Europe decided to get its shit together again though, it (unfortunately in my opinion) sort of ignored the Arab innovations and reached all the way back to Ptolemy in like 1st century CE for their inspiration (possibly because xenophobia, who knows though).
