up until i was 12, the only nightmare i ever had was a repeated dream of two anonymous children (boy and girl) climbing a ladder on the side of a smokestack. at the top was an eerily serene garden. they walk into the light at the end of the garden's grass path. a hand comes up from the dirt. everything was monochromatic and tinted a kind of dusty green colour.
