Well you're not going to get one since it was literally just made up.

There is a story that Terrenca Mckenna tells, of his visit to South America and his meeting of a shaman. The shaman is in a field of trees and suddenly begins to dance. Due to his dancing, the trees begin disappearing and reappearing as if by magic. I think perhaps there is more to this world than meets the eye, you just need to know where to look.

If you would to approach it scientific, then you need the definition of the word 'magick' to start with, strictly speaking.
Then there would be no reason why evidence would not be show up at the experiment.
The problem for ya'll is that you do not understand the word 'magick'. If you did, there was no reason at all to doubt it.

Magick and altered states of consciousness go hand in hand. It could be argued that psychedelic drugs are a crutch and it's more effective to reach altered states without them, but magick without altered states isn't very magickal.

Science accept that different dimensions exists which originally was a religious/esoteric concept.
Then there was the guy who came of with the concept of the helix shaped dna. It came to him in a dream or something.
Also the placebo effect, healers, and chi energy has all been documented leaving scientists scratching their head.
