What are the spookiest implications of this?

The Mandela effect wasn't real in the original timeline.

Twin Peaks is the only thing in popular media that has ever addressed this, and nothing too weird happens.
In TP a girl (Laura) is murdered by an inhabitant of the Black Lodge, another dimension outside of time and space. No one knows who killed her, so an FBI agent (Cooper) is sent to her small town to investigate. After he discovers who killed her, he visits the Black Lodge to save his girlfriend, but gets trapped. Laura had a diary she'd been keeping before she was murdered, she visited Dale in her dreams which were set in the Black Lodge, before he ever visited her town and he never met her while she was alive. It has been implied that he's always been trapped in the Black Lodge (even before he visited it) and will never get out.

So you aren't watching Season 3? Where he explicitly gets out of the Black Lodge?
