Assuming you're cursed at all, without knowing more about the specifics of the symptoms or the particular curse used, there's not much that can be done in the way of developing specific countermeasures, but there are general countermeasures available.
For area protection there's the standard salt and sage type stuff, and for personal protection the Wadjet Eye has been in use for millennia.
tl;dr in the distant past curses were though of more generally than they are today. Any and all curses fell under the category of the "evil eye", and so were defended against with a "good eye", the eye of Horus.
