Yes. It currently does this. Consciousness is just a telecommunications signal. It's picked up in the void and placed inside a biological body here on earth. Here it's grown from a fresh slate as a virgin soul for the independence and individuality, as maintaining freewill is important. To cultivate that soul, it would take generations, longer than the human body could survive. These bodies could be considered 'avatars', with the consciousness/soul being the one using that avatar, just as a player creates an avatar on an mmo. Soul incarnation is real.
If you are already alive, the probability that you will live again will be high.
Why?
From a mathematical point of view, if it happened, it could happen again in the near future. Every consciousness has its ID, each ID is a separate existence. If this ID was drawn by nature, then the probability of being drawn again is high.
But will you be a man again?
Once upon a time, but right before this happens, you live life as an animal, an insect, a slim, maybe as a girl and not a guy, or anything else.
If it is possible to transfer your consciousness to a robot brain and maintain continuity, then yes.
If the above postulate is true, then it is impossible to die, as the sheer infinity of the universe will make it so eventually the thoughts that make you you will reassemble themselves
