anyone have any thoughts around the Bridgen suicides?
I live near Bridgend and remember these happening. My theory is that people were killing themselves as a chain reaction of grief in response to others killing themselves. Something about it has always spooked me though.

I sincerely doubt that

don't underestimate this effect
it really is something, if someone suicides it has an effect on atleast 50 people
just imagine that one guy who gets into the bus with you every morning or something, and then from one day to another he doesn't come back, and then you find out he killed himself, this can cause a very bad feeling to your stomach, even if you never talked to the person.
There a swiss documentary about a guy who took one of these "suicide" pills from the doctors in switzerland, the guy who made the report said that he had people die in front of him brutally when he made war documentaries
but he never felt so bad about someone not wanting to live anymore just like that

I think part of it is this but I also think there's a miasma of desolation to the town itself, like Greenland. There's nothing going on and nowhere to go, so let's kill ourselves.
