people accidently AP in their sleep all the time, so blanket or no, blue or red pants, it doesnt matter.

you need to relax your mind and body as much as possible without falling truly asleep

More often than not, this is the optimal position. Im one who sleeps stomach down or on my side but if i ever manage to fall asleep on my back i get a more vivid dream..
I got some kind of experience on my side/back, so position is not everything.
