Seems like things are backed by a situational difference and a personal opinion on the matter. Seems that they're legitimately busy or have things going on that prevent a normal or simple meeting, however on top of that there's a bit of reticence on his part to hang with you particularly. I've dabbled in voodoo spells. Got results after a year or two, but didn't work to end up splitting up the couple that I wanted. I am more familiar with candle spells, and I can do a simple communication spell that almost works every time while cast.

I tried a sour jar spell, as I was told it would get results after three days. But after working on it for around a month got the energies mixed up. Because it is in a protected indoor place, the energies inverted. And while I saw some movement, it was only momentary and the target is bouncing back faster then ever.
