No shit. As the ice age thawed, about 20% of Earth's landmass was reclaimed by the sea. This was mostly extremely gradual, but encircled lowlands would have flooded quite dramatically once the sea level reached the brim.
There are ancient ruins in the mediterranean sea, the baltic sea, the english channel, off the coast of japan and china, and in the caribbean.

I'm not saying God didn't plan the ice age to thaw at the exact time that Atlantis needed to be deep-sixed, but it's pretty obvious from our climatological record where all of the flood myths come from.
