Some people get carried away with it, and it becomes a source of personal pride.

Better to keep it a secret, other than when you're encouraging or instructing others.
Twenty minutes twice a day is all that's necessary.

And remember, there's a reason millions of people meditate: it feels really good and the results are rapid.

It's only difficult in the very beginning. After that it quickly becomes the most looked forward to times of the day.

I'm new here, are there any guides/links you guys recommend for someone interested in meditation? Not necessarily of any type (or if I could understand the difference between them it would help a lot).

I've looked at the sticky but it's just a bunch of uncategorized links.
