Hi everybody, i'm here because yesterday i noticed something strange. I live in Florence (Italy) and yesterday night i was in an outdoor pub near the river in the city centre. I took a photo of the place and i sent it to a friend of mine that live far away to make her see how looks like Florence by night.
When i returned home i noticed that on the top center of the image there was something strange, 5 white points in line. The photo was taken at 00.48 of 15 July in Florence.
What do you think about that?

It could be a lens reflex or a strange light trick?
Because at the moment i haven't seen anything in the sky

if you look very close you can see it a little bit in your original image. i dont have good image editing tools to properly zoom/lighten it up

I added 150 brightness and -50 contrast on photoshop. Then i added some curves, that's the result. I'm anxious now..

Could be airplanes. Could be Chinese lanterns.
There are dozens of airplanes in the sky at any time. I live about 2 hours from an international airport and they fly over my house a lot. I sometimes go on my porch if I have insomnia and see dozens of lights in the sky all the time.

I know, but that dots can't be planes, i see 5 dots in line, plane fly alone.
Also that dots can't be chinese lanterns: when i took the photo i haven't seen anything in the sky, in fact in the photo that objects look really high in the sky, lanterns don't reach that altitude and specially it's really really difficult that they fly in line.

If they were hanging DOWN I would say balloon with LED lights. Every Halloween my neighbor does a 10 foot helium balloon with lights like this. about 200 feet in the air. LEDs and batteries have gotten really bright, small, efficient and lightweight in last 10 years.

That could be possible, but here in italy there's no one who make this tipe of balloon, also yesterday it was a normal day in italy, there isn't like a national holiday or something similar

Friend I live near Florence and saw strange white "stripes" on the sky, like cuts of white light in the air a couple of weeks ago. They were weird and went in all directions, as if they were slowly crawling in the air

I don't think you understand how small and bright LEDs are now. I could do that effect with 6 regular balloons each with a bright LED and tied in a line with thread.
LED's like this (pic) but with the extra weight (clips) cut off. Or just LEDs taped to small batteries like "LED Throwies" (but without the magnet).
