What can /x/ tell me about Crowley's "abracadabra" and "alakazam" phrases?
I need spiritual defense and power to survive and I am as yet a novice wanting to know what would possibly be the reprecussions.
>Crowley
Fuck you.
Isn't Abracadabra from the spirit Abraxas? Or perhaps it's the reverse, I think I recall "Abracadabra" actually means something. Supposedly "I create as I speak."
Haven't looked into "Alakazam," but it's probably Arabic.

>abracadabra
If you bothered to READ Crowley you'd know the construction for mystical purposes is "abrahadabra" from Hebrew meaning roughly "I create as I speak".

If you need spiritual defense, the way to make these terms work for you is to focus on how ridiculous they sound. If you need spiritual power, the way to pfffthahahaha!
God has hurt me and created me to be someone He lies to and harasses and insults and brings suffering on.

Trying to find info on the power of finding something's true name, or the ability to name a thing. Found a thread a few days ago about a creation epic where man was given an iron rod/gold rod/scepter that gave him the god gift/power to assign names to items in creation. Sound familiar?
