Anyone else in the Maryland area think birds are acting kind of weird lately?
>5 AM
>wake up, let cat out so he can go to the bathroom, hunt food, etc. (I put cat food out for him but he seems to prefer the hunt)
>couple birds on the lawn, a bit more than typical but not a big surprise when you live in a rural area, i've had much more at a time
>cat runs over to one, moderately paced
>bird doesn't seem to react
>cat doesn't do anything at all, just stares
>go out, get closer look
>bird barely notices either of us
>just stumbles around with its legs, pushing its body across the ground
>not even trying to fly, pretty wet from the light drizzle we had
>guess it has a broken wing
>strangely cat isn't going for the easy kill, just staring
>not sure if pity or predatory torment
>whatever, leave cat and bird to his business
>later, driving to work
>wooded area, but road's clear enough and been there long enough that the animals really should be used to cars going by by now and not go in the path of them
>of course, the occasional deer crosses the road and some guy hits one of them every once in a while but otherwise nothing really happens
>driving along
>suddenly a flapping feathery mass impacts the side of the car
>another bird
>this usually doesn't happen, the birds are smart enough to avoid cars usually and should be above them anyway
>later, at park
>eating lunch at a picnic table
>suddenly hear a bit of flapping
>glance up from my sub
>it's another goddamned bird perched on end of table
>doesn't seem to be aware of anything
>halfheartedly flaps wings, hovers right past my head
Birds in this area are usually very timid and avoid people at all costs, this doesn't normal. Should I be worried, /x/?

MD here.

The summer rains started to fall in the hours before dawn. Birds have gotten harmed by that, since those were their active hours. They are probably famished unto confusion.
