I told this story a while back when I used to browse other boards, so I might as well bring it up here.

>was about seven or eight at the time
>parents dropped me off at my grandparent's farm ( they lived pretty far up North in Wisconsin in Iron County) because of a family emergency down in Racine
>only had a radio, but besides that and a few kitchen appliances they were in the middle of brumblefuck nowhere.
>late at night.
>Grandpa tells me that he's driving into town with Grandma to get a few things and that I'd be alone for a few hours
>"oh cool, I can spend time by myself and stay up"
>about 11 PM
>hear someone pounding on the door.
>look out the window so I can get a better look at what it was.
>it was a naked person covered in blood
>what the fuck
>he starts asking if he can come in and call an ambulance, but he talks really weird. Had a really calm tone for someone who just got into a big wreck.
>tell him we don't have a phone but a few miles down the road was another farm and they had one (that was a lie. we had a phone)
>doesn't take the bait and starts pounding on the fucking door, trying to kick it down.
>grandpa taught me how to shoot and handle a gun, so I rush up to where he kept it, loaded it and shot through the door
>he keeps on pounding
>this was a fucking shotgun, mind you. I put it right up to the door and pulled the trigger. I didn't miss.
>shoot again.
>he finally stops and runs off.
>folks come home an hour later, grandpa wants to know what happened because there was a giant hole in the door and a sobbing eight year old sitting in the corner with a shotgun
>tell him what happened, he calls the police but they really couldn't do anything since he was long gone.
>grandpa didn't sleep. he stayed out on the front porch with coffee and his gun.
>never came back
I heard some friends talking about something similar. One guy said that the dude was in his barn eating one of the calfs, but I can't vouch for that.

I ran into what I'm sure is a fleshgait in the Sierras in Cali, 45 min south from Bakersfield. That thing must just roam the fucking fields all night long when nobody's around the woods. Freaky shit. The reserve guy knows about it, too, told me he hears huge screeching/wounded noises occasionally during night shifts. He either locks himself in the bathroom or the office when that happens. What gave me chills was how casual he was about it, like its just a wild animal he takes precautions to.

Anyone have the story about the anon who spent the night in their relative's attic and was visited by a rat woman thing (and then never again)? I remember it implied sex and they somehow knew it's name. Was fairly popular for a time IIRC.

I got a story ive been wanting to tell for a while.
Not too spooky, but involved an old friend of mine who passed away, so i have a fondness for this story.

>he was a bit of a hermit, lifelong bachelor, only involved with my family.
>he never had any interest in paranormal things so it was strange when he told me about the experiences he was having.
>i never had any reason to disbelieve him.
>His only hobby was collecting antiques.
>his home looked like a museum, it was always fascinating visiting his home.
>Tons of priceless artifacts of americana just displayed in heaps everywhere
>Finally he gained his most prized antique, an old schoolhouse.
>He purchased this one room schoolhouse (since divided into a few separate rooms) from the city. All brick, complete with bell tower, and school bell. No idea how old it was.

>As soon as he had moved in, strange things started happening.
>He kept being woken up by door slams in the night.
