Why a religion? Why not start off with a philosophy, and then build a fraternal order around that? Unless your goal is a Lafayette R.H. shekel scheme, otherwise not much point in finding a religion.

How about we tell people that we are all parts of an aliens mind and when somebody hurts, its like we all lose, and when you get a good life but cause more pain on your way then you are screwing up yourself and all of us, because the alien will grow only if we all grow inside. Then we can make our cult all about charity, then get some wealthy members, and disappear with all the money and be insanely rich in asia for the rest of our lifes.

we should create an elder pantheon with lesser deities, that would be more practical and fun
