Nah, I'm a girl and he's a guy. Both straight but I don't feel attraction towards him.
I could seriously share the same bed with him and not feel uncomfy. That's how much I like him.
He's like a relative, but he knows me way better than any member of my family.

My gf and I have a freakish amount in common:

We have a lot that isn't in common as well, but this stuff really intrigues us. To be honest, it's the reason she started talking to me at all.

I think I may have let them slip through my fingers when I teenager with self-esteem issues, who couldn't accept that another person actually liked me.

I think it's possible, but I think if they exist, then each person may have multiple ones. or there may be soul mate groups that reincarnate and meet up again. not like poly relationships but more like tight-knit groups of friends that endure through everything, or people born into the same family that get along way better and understand each other better than most people and their families. for instance my dad has sometimes felt like he and my mom and I have been together or crossed paths through multiple lives. the three of us have always been really close and my husband meshed right in with us. so maybe he's part of that group of souls too. or maybe it's all an illusion, but still nice to think about.
