Well Hybrids usually cant procreate on their own. When you cross two kinds of animal from different species you usually wont get an offspring that can reproduce.

But if you cross a Horse with a Donkey you can get a Mule and that will make a good Beast of Burden. But you cant breed two mules to make more.

Or if you cross a Tiger with a Lion you will get a Liger. But you cant mix two ligers to get more liger kittens.
