Otherwise, although the picture looks like KEK, this shape could be an artefact of a known celestial object that got caught twice (in a slightly different position) due to the way the survey was taken, or perhaps a real phenomena that existed in that part of the sky at the time of the survey... in 1983.

The difference in time between surveys could explain why the figure is not visible in all others besides IRAS, afaik.

Alright guys. It was a 3 week long ride for me, but I guess Im a skepticfag after this thread. Let me explain why:
First, look at the picture in this post:

Notice the pink part in the left cener? It has strange waves to it, doesn't it? Well, obviously, the waves which stretch from left to right on this picture, apply to the entire image, which lets us suppose it's just a malfunction which occured when this telescope or whatever it was was taking photographs. I.e. every time it turned a tiny bit to take a photo of another part of the sky, the pink "shining" was still there, thereby making the pink shining on the left shine in "waves".
Now look at the picture in this post closely, please:

Especially on the red shining under the green "eyes" or "notrils". Seems familiar? That's right, same thing as with pink shining from the previous picture. It just got duplicated in the process of taking photos/putting them together.
But what about the green dots (eyes/nostrils of the "dragon")? Well clearly the same thing happened to the green dot (which was one, not two originally), resulting in it's duplication. But because this bigger and/or "hotter" object in the sky was moving slower than two (originally two,three or four but it replicated to ~10, which we see on the pictures in the thread) dots beneath it, it didn't interfere this much with telescope turning, thus resulting in duplication, not replication (like with the dots beneath it and the pink shining). Also look at the "godzilla" picture here:

You can see that
a). the shining of the (presumably) two objects isn't even similar, it's fucking identical.
b). "Their" ('its", actually) shining is duplicated in the same manner as the pink shining in the image and (i presume) any type of shining shot by the telescope. Fuck, I ran out of symbols

ALSO these distortions and duplications probably have to do with the wavelength of the telescope (and it's kinda proven in the OP's pic >>19255934, notice how the smaller the wavelength, the narrower those distortion lines are) and it's radial (turning) speed. That would explain why the face can not be seen in range above 100 micron.

ALSO considering that the big dot and the dots beneath it were moving (that's why they got duplicated and the actual stars did not) and they did not duplicate past that and don't appear on further "distortion lines" on the photo, lets us suggest that it was actually a "one-time" shining, or a burst of light, not the actual star or planet or spacecraft PLUS considering how close it was to the telescope (hence it's big size), we can assume that it may have been not in the space itself, but in the atmosphere, or just somwhere relatively close to the telescope and the Earth. Thus, it may have been an explosion of some sort, some kind of satellite or a piece of garbage flying around the planet. Considering the whole point or the survey (which, mind you, happened more than 20 years ago, as this anon >>19265705 stated) was to show SPACE and SKIES not some satellites or explosions or distortions, there is no wonder they censored the irrelevant part of the image. Or, as in this >>19265885 post, censored only a HALF of it, so that only the ORIGINAL observed object (or satellite or explosion) was available and to prevent misunderstanding.

TL;DR I debunked space godzilla and google censorship conspiracy.

I know you will call me a shill, but I might be even more upset than you, since my 3 weeks of constant interest and lurking went to trash.

If you have any arguments to prove me wrong, I will gladly listen to them. I'd be happy to realize my debunkery is wrong, but until someone proves me wrong, I consider this a legitimate explanation as to the appearance of the space dragon.
