Most people are fine, though. Your entity may be trying to explain capitalism to you. When people seek their own interests, only a minority of assholes even think about pursuing their interests at the known expense of others. The rest of people seek their own interests solely and with dedication... but they seek to advance their interests at the GAIN of others around them whenever possible. The key here is that most people seek their own interests in harmony with other people seeking their own interests. By being selfish together, we can have a brighter unity, and all can profit together in paradise.
