Theoretically, yes, but some application must be made to stop that kind of existential dread from immediately occurring. Also, technically - just because something contains a human mind (functioning or otherwise) does not necessarily mean that the vessel itself is human. If the mind were to think itself as being human in this scenario, the only true human part would be that psyche/ego/sense of self.
