continental drift is a small portion of why the continents are shaped the way they are. the classical pangea was determined to be a myth. while much closer and connected at points the current continental shapes are not reflected in the fragmentation of the super continent and some parts werent even touching each other

the moon was once much much closed than it is now. massive tidal waves were a norm. not just high tide and low tide but tsunamis battered some parts of some cost. the rotation of the earth was also faster

it caused massive erosion. especially in the southern hemisphere. as the moon has slowly moved farther away this has subsided. the moon is still slowly pulling away and the earth is slowing down. it wont stop rotating completely because gravitational influences from the sun act as friction and as long as it orbits it will rotate
