It's really hard to say which ones I suggest, since most of them are garbage, but there are three that stick out to me. Those being REC, REC2 and a film on Youtube called Rorschach.

REC is about a news crew that is following some firefighters around and they get a weird call to an apartment complex. REC 2 picks up where the first left off, and follows a S.W.A.T team as they go into the apartment. Although it seems like a cheesy zombie movie at first glance, there's a pretty good twist at the end.

Rorschach is the standard "paranormal investigators go to home that has been having strange things happen, shenanigans ensue" sorta deal, but it's all really psychological. No jumpscares, no cheap tricks, a lot of subtlety involved. Here's the link to Rorschach, and I'm sure you can find both REC and REC2 on a pirate website or something.

It's a shame there aren't a whole lot of good found footage movies, since there is a lot of potential in them.

Agree.The reason that people don´t like found footage movies is because sometimes its a jumpscare fiesta.Blair Witch Project was a really nice movie because had no jumpscares,but the 2016 version was full of it and it was super annoying

Been catching a few FF movies on some of the free services and yeeeaaahh they're usually free for a reason.
A few watchable middle of the road ones with an /x/ theme:

Happy Camp (would've been top teir but the ending blows like a 2 dollar hooker)

Trollhunter is probably the least horror on this list, but it is also the most fun, IMO.

I loved Phoenix Tapes '97
