And on top of that, the traits vampires are supposed to have such as a thirst for blood and being immortal do exist - to a degree - already in nature. There's animals who feed on blood (Hematophagy) and there's organisms that practically do not age (Negligible senescence)... combine those two things and you get a vampire.

If they're real, I guess a plausible explanation would be that most of the "old world" vampires are either extinct, or very few remaining, with the newer breed (younger ones) in America.

I guess this all depends on:

1. How often do vampires need to feed?
2. How desperate are they?
3. Are there no vampire groups/families that take care of their own kind and provide for them already?

And of course also how is the temperament/personality of the individual vampire. I personally would find it kinda... disgusting to feed on sweaty, smelly refugees and obviously murder them too. But if they had to feed every day and had no moral issues with that then I'm sure this would be perfect for them.

It's a myth and doesn't work like that in reality which points towards her being a roleplayer.

I have a theory on vampires / undead people.


I'm guessing that they're more akin to the Dybbuk... A person that died and for some reason was barred access to the afterlife. They're pretty much just a revenant of the same person, most are aware that they died but try to live normal lives and see their existence as a fluke. They don't drink blood, they have no special powers, other than having died, and kept on trucking.

Possible stuff you can do to become a Dybbuk - sell your soul, be targeted by demons, basically any blasphemy sort of shit.

Anyone else think something like this?

Forgot to answer the Goetia question. Yes, I've attempted several summonings before and felt absolutely nothing and saw no effects either. The only effect that I did feel was that when I started out, alone in a room, candles, circle and all of that, I was really scared. After all I expected to communicate with a real demon...

So I was shaking a bit and breathing heavily, excited and anxious. But that went away pretty quickly as time went on and nothing happened or these things became routine.

Also, the people I did talk to who claimed that demons are real and they do summon them via the Goetia honestly all seemed pretty delusional and had not much going on in their lives - which is weird? If you are being allies with wish-fulfilling, wise demons were are the results? I just think people are not being realistic and fall victim to their own confirmation bias, actively (but subconsciously) searching for stuff confirming it and blending out the rest.
