He had early interactions with scientlogists and an offshoot group called the process church of the final judgment. So did son of sam and others.

Process church still exists today as best friends animal sanctuary. They are very rich and lawless.

My father was a sheriff on duty as a guard when Manson was brought in to be held for a few days before being transferred to a maximum security facility. He was the first one to be assigned to watch Manson, who was under 24-hour personal surveillance until transfer. My dad ended up sitting down on the other side of the bars and playing chess with Manson during that shift.

He never told me what they spoke about, but to this day he still says that Manson was the most charming and intellectual person he had ever spoken to.

the guy was just an angry manlet that wanted to be famous, and ironically gained infamy in his crimes. Kind of like how we glorify school shooter, we are giving them what they want at the end of the day. Im sure there were parts of his own psychosis and ego that thought he could cause a race war and rule, but really he just wanted attention. IDK if he actually killed anybody, some of his followers talk about him going off with a hells angles biker or drug dealer (cant recall exactly who) and claiming they never saw him again, but ill take anything they say with a grain of salt
